Community Involvement
At Santa Saks we continue to reach out to various community groups to assist us in our campaign. Last year we had a group of boy scouts who eagerly helped us fill back packs.
This year we have a University church group who helped with unpacking merchandise, grouping products to prepare for packing, and helping us with a beginning inventory.
Next week we will be joined by 2 classes of high school freshman, who will help us assemble backpacks and visit with us about the homeless and distribution of packs.
December 13, we will bring a donation bin to Western States Insurance who has again invited us to their holiday party. Their generous donations last year had a bin heaping with gear for the homeless.
